

Peter J. Julien, MD is Chief of Thoracic Imaging and Director of the Radiofrequency Ablation Program at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center.
An expert in chest radiology, Dr. Julien is well known for his educational courses. He is dedicated to teaching clinicians about the latest techniques in imaging procedures. Dr. Julien is currently involved with multimodality imaging and outpatient diagnostic procedures. He has published extensively in the field of pulmonary imaging and has given over 100 invited local and national lectures dealing with various aspects of imaging and interventional radiology, including RFA.
Dr. Julien received his medical degree from the University of Miami. He completed his postgraduate training in internal medicine at Yale University. He was awarded a four-year National Institutes of Health fellowship in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, San Francisco, where he received the gold medal award from the Association of University Radiologists and was an assistant professor of radiology, before coming to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 1976.
