The Trauma Program

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is verified by the American College of Surgeons and designated by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services as a Level I Trauma Hospital. The center is a leader in providing the highest level of care for injured patients.

Under the auspices of the Department of Surgery, the
Trauma Program/Trauma Services provides leadership in clinical care, performance improvement, injury prevention, research, education, community outreach and trauma system planning.

The urgency, complexity and severity of trauma necessitates strong surgical leadership and a multidisciplinary approach to completely and effectively care for patients who have suffered a traumatic injury.

At Cedars-Sinai, trauma services are provided by
a multidisciplinary team of experts.
