
Heidi Sulman-Smith, MD is a Child Psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Cedars-Sinai.
Dr. Sulman-Smith's clinical interests include Telepsychiatry and Early Child Intervention, which involves outpatient evaluations of young children who have complex psychopathology. She also provides diagnosis finesse and medication management in Telepsychiatry clinics in various cities in California, including Chico, Redwood Coast, Ridgecrest, Bakersfield and Mammoth. Other responsibilities include teaching and supervising residents and fellows and leading treatment teams at Cedars-Sinai.
Dr. Sulman-Smith graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa where she practiced as a general psychiatrist in a large inner city hospital. She was also one of 20 foreign students accepted into an intership program in Toronto, Canada. She also completed her residency in adult psychiatry at the Sepulveda VA Medical Center in the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles.
