
Rodney Gabriel, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Center. As a member of the Cedars-Sinai/USC Dance Medicine Center, Dr. Gabriel specializes in the treatment of shoulder and knee injuries.
Dr. Gabriel is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the California Orthopaedic Association and is secretary/treasurer of the Medical Staff of Orthopaedic Hospital. He serves on the board of directors for MedHealth Access Corporation and Team Health Inc., a not-for-profit organization. He is a past board member for the EFOORA Health Management, Inc. (now EFOORA, Inc), a publicly traded company. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Gabriel received his bachelor's degree from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles and his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He completed his general surgery and residency at Mt. Zion Hospital, University of California, San Francisco. His orthopaedic surgery residencies were at Charles R. Drew University, Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles (sports medicine), Boyes, Stark and Associates/Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital in Los Angeles (hand surgery), University of Southern California Medical Center (orthopaedic tumors and pathology), Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in Spokane, Washington (pediatric orthopaedics), Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey, California (adult reconstruction and spine surgery), and Martin Luther King Jr./Los Angeles County Hospital (adult and pediatric trauma surgery). He completed an orthopaedic surgery fellowship at the Wagner Foot and Ankle Institute, Orthopaedic Hospital, University of Southern California.
