Broad Spectrum Antibiotics Auto Expire After 5 Days Beginning mid-June 2007, the Department of Pharmacy will begin automatic expiration of broad spectrum beta-lactams (ZosynŽ, Cefepime, Imipenem, Meropenem) and fluoroquinolones (Levofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin) after the fifth day of therapy.
