Wen Cheng, MD

Director, Thoracic Surgery Residency Program

Surgical Director, Lung Transplant Program

Co-Director, Pediatric Cardiac Surgery

Wen Cheng, MD is Director of the Thoracic Surgery Residency Program, Surgical Director of the Lung Transplant Program and Co-Director of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Program, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also is Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery, Dr. Cheng is a member of the Western Thoracic Surgical Association. He has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatrics.

Dr. Cheng received his bachelor's and medical degrees from Johns Hopkins University. In addition, he completed his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins University, where he was also a chief resident and a cardiothoracic surgery fellow. Dr. Cheng also completed fellowships at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of California, San Francisco.
