New FDA Warning on Neupro (Rotigotine Transdermal System)

Schwarz Pharma has informed healthcare professionals of the recall of Neupro, a transdermal delivery system worn on the skin and used to treat early stage Parkinson's disease, because of the formation of rotigotine crystals in the patches.

"Transplantation Stories" Photo Exhibit Concludes Today on the Plaza Level

A special photo exhibit, "The Long Journey: Transplantation Stories," concludes its weeklong run today on the South Plaza Level Concourse at 4 p.m. Photographer and writer Rich Nahmias spent several months chronicling the work of the Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center's talented team to tell the stories of two patients waiting for a liver transplant. The exhibit is open to the public, and admission is free so be sure to stop by!

Accessing Medication Lists

The medication lists for an individual patient can be accessed in Web/VS in several locations. The most common method of access is via the "Recent Results" screen, which has an entry for one medication list per calendar day, with the current medication list typically appearing near the top of the screen.

You can click on the medication list title to view the full medication list in a pop-up window and then click on an individual medication to view the details of that medication order. This method provides a convenient way to view the medication list as of a specific date and time.

Cedars-Sinai Opens Patient Trial of Virus that Attacks Deadly Brain Cancer Cells

A common, naturally occurring virus that attacks cancer cells but appears to be harmless to normal cells is being studied as a possible treatment for malignant, highly aggressive brain tumors (gliomas). Researchers at Cedars-Sinai are among a few in the U.S. evaluating this experimental therapy.
