
Leslie J. Tarlow, GNP, APRN-BC, MSN, MSCN, is an Adult Nurse Practitioner at the Neurology Specialty Clinics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Ms. Tarlow also serves as a team member of the Cedars-Sinai Stroke Program.
The Stroke Program provides comprehensive inpatient care beginning in the emergency department through the hospitalization. Ms. Tarlow participates in coordination of the multidisciplinary team, patient and family/caregiver education, advocacy and counseling, research clinical trials and community service.
Ms. Tarlow is involved in multiple sclerosis clinical trials, utilizing her expertise and experience to educate and recruit patients and assist the Principal Investigator and study staff with clinical evaluation. She has a particular interest in cognitive impairment in MS patients.
Ms. Tarlow is nationally board certified as a Gerontologic Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is internationally board certified by the Multiple Sclerosis Nurses International Certification Board and holds California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Tarlow earned her master of science degree in nursing at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating with honors as a Nurse Practitioner, and is a preceptor and mentor for other nurses.
In addition, Ms. Tarlow is an active member of the Clinical Advisory Committee of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society-Los Angeles chapter, the International Organization of MS Nurses, the Consortium of MS Centers and the California Association for Nurse Practitioners. She is an annual speaker for UCLA graduating Nurse Practitioner students and a frequent speaker for patient and provider educational programs.
