Four-Day Survey to Include Physician Interviews

A Magnet survey will be conducted at Cedars-Sinai beginning Monday as part of the medical center's re-designation as a Nurse Magnet facility. Appraisers from the American Nurses Credentialing Center will conduct a site visit from July 28-31 to verify the information in the hospital's Magnet re-designation application.

Filmless the 4th on 3rd

Beginning Monday, August 4, all 3rd floor surgical suites will be filmless, with PACS images available via Web/VS.

TNF Blockers Associated with Increased Lymphoma Risk

The FDA is investigating a possible association between the nationwide use of Tumor Necrosis Factor blockers (marketed as Remicade, Enbrel, Humira and Cimzia) and the development of lymphoma and other cancers in children and young adults.

1. Use of Turn Signals

The directional or "turn" signaling device is located on the left side of the steering column, approximately 20 cm distal to the steering wheel. This device was designed by the manufacturer to alert oncoming or trailing colleagues to get an inkling as to which direction you will be turning.

Pending Lab Results

Both un-resulted and partially resulted tests are available under the Pending Lab Results. The labs are always displayed in reverse chronological order of the collection date, with the most recent information at the top. Partially completed tests or preliminary results are displayed in black if they are normal and red if they are abnormal.
