Angela M. Lopez, MD

Hematologist/Oncologist, Bone Marrow Transplantation

Angela M. Lopez, MD is a hematologist/oncolologist at Cedars-Sinai's Bone Marrow Transplant Program and at the Outpatient Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute.

Dr. Lopez's research interests include mathematical modeling of combination regimens and drug interactions, adaptive optimal drug dosing, and clinical trial design. The Cancer Education Consortium Grant funded Dr. Lopez's work on the clinical pharmacology of anticancer agents.

Dr. Lopez has published numerous articles on the impact of drug combinations in Seminars in Oncology, Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, and the Proceedings of the American Association for Cancer Research. Her work on cardiac dysfunction due to endocrine problems was published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

Dr. Lopez received her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry/Cellular Biology and Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego. She received her master's degree in biomathematics and her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She completed her residency in internal medical at UCLA and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at City of Hope/Harbor UCLA.
