Radiologist joined by technicians, nurse

Thomas Learch, M.D., teaches and assists an El Salvadoran radiology resident in her first biopsy of a musculoskeletal neoplasm.

Members of Cedars-Sinai's Imaging team took a trip south of the border to provide training to radiologists in El Salvador.

Thomas Learch, M.D., MRI technologist Gregory Adamczak, Louise Tsukahara, R.N., and ultrasound team leader Walter Vargas, R.D.M.S., participated in the missionary trip Nov. 7-17.

Lighting, private spaces ease patients' stress

Cancer patients' care comes first in the remodeled Outpatient Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute.

Cedars-Sinai celebrated the center's redesign and expansion during an evening event on Nov. 19.

Accessing Census and Service Lists

The Web/VS census reports provide lists of inpatients by nursing unit or by hospital service. These reports are generated in real time based on the information provided from PCX. A list of nursing units or hospital services and patient counts are accessible via the Patient List drop down menu. By selecting a specific unit or service from the initial list, the patients' names, medical record numbers and locations of patients will display.

 

Total of 1,558 Respond to Annual Online Survey

Thanks to all of our physicians and nurses who filled out the 2008 MD/RN Satisfaction survey sponsored by the MD/RN Collaborative. A total of 394 physicians and 1,164 R.N.s responded to the online survey.
