
Alexander Allins, MD, FACS, is Director of Abdominal Wall and Hernia at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Allins is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine. Dr. Allins has made presentations on topics related to vascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery and intensive care at meetings of the American College of Surgeons, the American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the Southern California Vascular Surgical Society. Additionally, he has published numerous articles published in journals such as Annals of Vascular Surgery, The American Surgeon, the American Journal of Critical Care, Problems in General Surgery and Nutrition, as well as chapters in several textbooks.
He is a member of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association.
Dr. Allins holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California at Los Angeles and a medical degree from the University of California School of Medicine at Irvine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship in surgical critical care at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
