
Justin Cole, MD, PhD is a pathologist in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Board certified in clinical pathology, Dr. Cole has authored 14 peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented several abstracts at national meetings. His talents in pathology and research have been recognized by his being named a Woodruff Fellow while at Emory University School of Medicine and having received New Investigator Awards from Merck and from the Association for Molecular Pathology. Dr. Cole has been invited to speak nationally, most recently on the role of PCR assays in detecting genes in infectious organisms.
Dr. Cole received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA and his doctorate in biochemistry, cell and developmental biology also from Emory University. He completed a clinical pathology residency at Emory University in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, which was followed by fellowships in molecular genetic pathology at Emory University and in hematopathology at the University of Washington, Seattle.
