In addition to our other services, we have a variety of specialty services for people with specific needs, including:
Teen Line is a confidential help line for teenagers. It is free to the caller and helps teens address suicide, drug abuse, pregnancy, depression and the normal problems of growing up. Volunteer teens that have completed a tough training program take calls nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. Volunteer mental health professionals supervise the teen staff members. To contact Teen Line, please call (310) 855-HOPE.
The Psychological Trauma Center helps children, teachers, administrators and parents cope with traumatic events. The Center's staff provides short- and long-term, on-site crisis intervention programs. They also offer prevention training and telephone consultations with school staff affected by the event. For more information about the Psychological Trauma Center, please call (310) 423-3506.
Telepsychiatry services provide live, interactive consultations to out-of-area residential treatment centers that serve developmentally disabled people. Through this program, patients and doctors meet to discuss progress, medications, side effects and other issues in a teleconference. For more information about our Telepsychiatry or other services, please contact Pamela Monson at (310) 423-3566 or pamela.monson@cshs.org.
