Maternal-Fetal Care Unit

Women with pregnancy problems receive specialized care in our eight-bed Maternal-Fetal Care Unit. It is specifically designed for pregnant women who need extended hospital care, including patients who require hospitalization until the time of delivery.

Our rooms are comfortable and private, and they are specially equipped with newly developed maternal and fetal monitors. Data from these monitors is fed into centralized viewing areas throughout the Maternal Care area. This seamless and immediate monitoring assures the highest level of mother and baby safety. The Unit is down the hall from our Labor and Delivery area in case the need arises for an emergency delivery.

The Unit is staffed with a dedicated team of specially trained high-risk nurses who are both medically skilled and sensitive to the concerns and needs of our patients. Our maternal-fetal medicine physicians coordinate care with the patient's own obstetrician. A maternal-fetal medicine doctor is available 24 hours a day.
