Jay Doostan, MD, is a board-certified internist and nephrologist with Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.

Dr. Doostan received his medical degree from the Pahlavi University Medical School in Shiraz, Iran. His internship was performed at Brooklyn Medical Center in New York. His residencies were at the Pahlavi University Medical School; Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md.; Provident Hospital, Baltimore, Md.; and Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Sinai Hospital. His fellowships in nephrology were at the St. Vincent Medical Center and Yale affiliate hospital, Bridgeport, Conn. And the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital in New York.

Dr. Doostan has been in private practice since 1979. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Public Health Association, Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene, American Society of Internal Medicine and American College of Physicians.
