Harold N. Amer, MD

Vice-Chair, Clinical Services Department of Pediatrics; Medical Director, PICU

Harold N. Amer, MD is Vice-Chair, Clinical Services Department of Pediatrics and Medical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cedars-Sinai. He also is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Amer is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics and Society of Critical Care Medicine. He also serves as a consultant on pediatric critical care issues to the Los Angeles County Department of Health and to the state office of California Children's Services.

Dr. Amer received his undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley, and his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the UCLA School of Medicine and a pediatric intensive care fellowship at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
