Barry D. Pressman, MD, FACR

Chairman, S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center

Barry D. Pressman, MD, FACR is Chairman of the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center and Department, and Chief of the Section of Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Radiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

His research interests focus on pituitary imaging, spinal trauma and several congenital diseases. Dr. Pressman is board certified in diagnostic radiology with a certificate of added qualifications in Neuroradiology.

Dr. Pressman is a member of the Board of Chancellors of the American College of Radiology, a past President of the California Radiological Society, and a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology and the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology. He also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of the American College of Radiology, and is a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology, the American Journal of Roentgenology, and the Journal of Perinatology. He has recently been appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to the Medicare Coverage Advisory Committee.

Dr. Pressman earned his medical degree Cum Laude from Harvard Medical School after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Dartmouth College. After a surgical internship at Harvard's Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, he completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and a Neuroradiology fellowship at George Washington University Hospital. During this period, he wrote many of the original papers for CT.
