Many patients and families will need emotional support and practical assistance in dealing with the challenges of cancer treatment and survivorship. At the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Cancer Center, specially trained oncology social workers provide services to help patients and families cope with the psychological, social, emotional and practical concerns that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.

The oncology social work staff is comprised of masters-level mental health clinicians who have training and expertise in psychosocial oncology. Our social workers provide counseling and advocacy to patients and families. As you adjust to the many changes and challenges you may face during all phases of care, from diagnosis through survivorship, they can assist your needs. In addition, social workers can provide practical information about community and financial resources.
