
Marina Vaysburd, MD is a board-certified attending physician at the Outpatient Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, a member of the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center and the Thyroid Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group. She specializes in the field of clinical oncology and cancer investigation.
Dr. Vaysburd is the recipient of several awards for her research. She won the Grand Prix at the Annual Meeting of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology in Paris for her work in cancer immunology. She also pioneered and served as a principal investigator of a clinical trial at the University of Southern California (USC) using a novel cancer therapy agent.
Clinically, Dr. Vaysburd is dedicated to treating a wide range of cancers, including lung, gastrointestinal, urologic and blood malignancies. She also has a special interest in the fields of breast cancer and genetic testing for the hereditary form of breast cancer. Dr. Vaysburd has written articles on her research projects for numerous scientific publications.
Dr. Vaysburd received her bachelor's and medical degrees from Stanford University. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center and Methodist Hospital in Memphis and then completed a hematology/oncology fellowship program at USC/Norris Cancer Hospital. Dr. Vaysburd is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology and board eligible in hematology.
