Anyone with chronic pain, arthritis, or another degenerative joint disease, or who has lost mobility in the hips or knees, may be an excellent candidate for joint replacement surgery or arthroplasty (arthro = joint and plasty = new). At the Cedars-Sinai Institute for Joint Replacement, our nationally recognized specialists see patients who are considering the procedure for the first time, seeking a second opinion, or looking into a revision (second) surgery. In addition, we provide care to those seeking post-surgical care, regardless of where the original procedure took place.
The Institute uses a unique patient-wellness concept that utilizes patient groups and clinical standards to prepare patients for recovery even before surgery takes place. We also offer patients the option to participate in a holistic practice, which may include receiving care through the Cedars-Sinai Integrative Medicine Group.
Our patients, their families and physicians appreciate having the entire spectrum of top quality orthopaedic and therapeutic services all in one location here at the Institute for Joint Replacement. Those for whom joint replacement is not recommended may benefit from physical therapy at the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic, which provides a full range of therapeutic services.
