Cedars-Sinai has earned the prestigious NRC Consumer Choice Award for its high quality and image rankings every year since the award program's inception.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates, an independent physician association (IPA), both ranked among the top 10 physician groups in Southern California by Integrated Health Care Associates (IHA), a California leadership group of health plans, physician groups, and health systems, plus at large academic, purchaser, pharmaceutical industry and consumer representatives, involved in policy development and special projects around integrated health care and managed care.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates were selected from 225 participating physician groups by the IHA based on their provision of recommended care, patient satisfaction, and investment in information technologies (IT) that support quality care.
In 2008 Cedars-Sinai was re-awarded the Magnet Excellence in Nursing designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Cedars-Sinai is one of only six hospitals to receive this designation three times, which recognizes commitment to nursing development and quality care. In 2000 Cedars-Sinai became the first medical center in Southern California to receive Magnet designation. The ANCC found that Cedars-Sinai's nursing services "represent the highest standards in the nation and internationally."
