Sergio J. Farber, PhD is Associate Director of Laboratory Services in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Farber is also Associate Section Chief of Clinical Chemistry at Cedars-Sinai, and he is Assistant Clinical Professor of Pathology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Board certified in clinical chemistry, Dr. Farber is a charter fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and a member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and the Clinical Ligand Assay Society. He has written articles for numerous peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Farber received his master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He completed postdoctoral research within the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
