Richard Sukov, MD, FACR is Chief of Gastrointestinal Radiology at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center and a member of the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center and the Colorectal Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai.
Board certified in diagnostic radiology, Dr. Sukov has extensive experience in computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, mammography and gastrointestinal (GI) radiology. Before joining Cedars-Sinai, he was a staff radiologist for more than 20 years at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital Medical Center, where he served as medical director of the radiology department for six years and chief of the department of medicine for three years.
Dr. Sukov has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed publications and given presentations on various imaging topics. He is involved in many professional societies, both locally and at a national level. Dr. Sukov is a former president of the Los Angeles Radiologic Society and is a fellow of the American College of Radiology.
Dr. Sukov graduated from University of Minnesota School of Medicine, where he completed an internship in pediatrics. He also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in ultrasound and CT at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
