Treatment for Sjögren's syndrome at this time is only symptomatic. Applying artificial tears every several hours can help dry eyes. Drinking water, chewing gum or using saliva stimulants (e.g., piocarpine) can help relieve dry mouth.

When the condition causes life-threatening complications, drugs such as corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan®, Neosar®) are occasionally needed.
