

Marc A. Edelstein, MD is an attending physician in the Division of Gastroenterology within the Department of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Edelstein is also a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Edelstein specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. His clinical research interests include the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies. He has several book chapters and numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications, and he has presented his research at national meetings.
Dr. Edelstein had been involved in several local and national committees. He is currently a member of several professional societies, including the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Edelstein received his bachelor's degree and medical degree from Boston University. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. During his training, Dr. Edelstein received numerous honors and awards, and he received UNOS certification in transplant hepatology.
