Resources for Coping During Trying Times

Cedars-Sinai sponsors a variety of support groups, in full appreciation of the range of feelings and emotions that patients and their families and friends experience as a result of illness and the effects of aggressive treatments. Many are free of charge.

The Brain Tumor Support Group meets the last Wednesday of every month at Cedars-Sinai's Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute, which is located at 8631 West Third St., Suite 800E. The meetings take place in the conference room from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Provided free of charge and in an informal group setting, the group is sponsored by the Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute in partnership with The Wellness Community of West Los Angeles. Cedars-Sinai's Breast Cancer Support Program is sponsored in collaboration with The Wellness Community - West Los Angeles. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center, A Project of Women's Guild, on the third floor conference room of the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Surgery Center, 310 N. San Vicente Blvd. The group also meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ambulatory Care Center, 8723 Alden Dr., Room 259.
