Cedars-Sinai Health System retains an outside research firm to continually survey patients about the experience they had at the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Surgery Center while receiving care.
These surveys are conducted by NRC and The Picker Institute, a consumer and a healthcare research organization. The surveys are based on research done by The Picker Institute and Harvard University researchers on what is most important to patients in healthcare settings.
When patients were asked about their rating of the care they received at the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Surgery Center, 98.6% reported their experience was good to excellent.
By comparison, a total of 92.1% of all other outpatient surgery patients at hospitals that were surveyed by The Picker Institute rated the outpatient surgery center where they received care as good to excellent.
The chart below shows how outpatient surgery patients at Cedars-Sinai rated their care overall.

A patient's willingness to recommend an outpatient surgery center to friends and family is a strong indicator of how satisfied he or she was with the care given.
When patients were asked whether they would recommend the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Surgery Center to family or friends, 92.1% said "yes, definitely." By comparison, of all other outpatient surgery center patients surveyed by The Picker Institute, 82.9% said "yes, definitely," when asked if they would recommend the center where they received care to friends and family.
The chart below shows the percentage of outpatients willing to recommend the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Surgery Center.
