Ning-Ai Liu, MD, PhD

Attending Physician, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism

Ning-Ai Liu, MD, PhD is an attending physician in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and the Thyroid Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is also an assistant professor of medicine in residence at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, Dr. Liu's primary clinical and research interests involve general endocrine disorders and the genetics of pituitary development and diseases. She has won several awards, including the NIH Physician Career Development Award and the Novartis Young Investigator Award.

Dr. Liu is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Physicians, Endocrine Society, Pituitary Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She has written articles for such peer-reviewed publications as the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Nature Cell Biology, Development Biology and Molecular Endocrinology.

Dr. Liu received her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University, and her doctorate from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia and a clinical endocrinology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
