Thank you to everyone who participated in this free public conference held on June 20, 2006. The multidisciplinary faculty offered this comprehensive, one-day conference to bring participants up to date on the most recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of adult brain tumors. The conference also educated patients and their caregivers about the latest research that has been translated into treatments for brain tumors. It included a discussion of promising therapeutic discoveries for brain tumors, as well as information on other surgical and nonsurgical treatment options available today. Participants had the opportunity to learn the latest information on the emotional aspect of living with this disease, as well as intimacy issues.
