Clinical Pastoral Education

Guided by Jewish values and traditions and distinguished by excellence in multiple medical specialties, Cedars-Sinai provides students of all religious and spiritual backgrounds with a rich, well-rounded learning experience. Students in our accredited ACPE clinical pastoral education (CPE) program provide spiritual care to patients, families and hospital staff from diverse backgrounds—and they play an important role in the healing process.

As a CPE student, you will learn how to provide spiritual support in a clinical setting via a multi-faith professional education program.

The CPE Program at Cedars-Sinai is accredited by the ACPE and combines hands-on clinical practice and reflection with structured teaching sessions and mentoring.

Cedars-Sinai's ACPE certified CPE program offers Level I, Level II and Certified Educator CPE throughout the year either as full-time or extended courses. Small class sizes ensure you receive in-depth, quality, hands-on chaplaincy training to effectively support patients, families and staff.

An accredited CPE program is usually a requirement for those seeking board-certification as a chaplain. At Cedars-Sinai, our CPE students are integrated into the Spiritual Care team, and valued for the fresh, diverse perspectives they bring. Know admission requirements and how to apply.

Cedars-Sinai ACPE Certified CPE™ Center is accredited to offer Level I, Level II and Certified Educator CPE™ by the ACPE: 404-320-1472acpe.edu.
