Cancer Center Chaplain
Bronwen Jones serves as the Interfaith Chaplain for the Cedars-Sinai Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute.
Prior to assuming her current position she worked as an Interfaith Chaplain at the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center and as Interim Christian Chaplain at Cedars-Sinai. She has completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education under the supervision of Rev. Pamela Lazor.
Bronwen identifies as a Religious Humanist and serves on the board of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Santa Monica as Past President. She has also received Advanced Training Certification for the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) where she works with prisoners serving life sentences in the California state prison system.
This is a second career for Bronwen, having been a professional musician since the age of 17. She received an Emmy for her original score for KCET's episode series "Your Turn To Care".
Bronwen has experienced a true calling to her work as a chaplain and considers herself thoroughly blessed to be working by the side of her Spiritual Care and Cancer Center colleagues.
