Clinical Pastoral Education Supervisor


Rev. Pamela Lazor, MDiv, is the clinical pastoral education supervisor.

Rev. Lazor, ordained in the Presbyterian Church in the United States, is certified by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education as a CPE supervisor.

Rev. Lazor completed her CPE internship, residency and supervisory training at the UCLA Health System. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and systematic theology, an honors degree in systematic theology from Rhodes University in South Africa, and a master's of divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif.

Rev. Lazor served for 12 years at Los Angeles-area Presbyterian churches as a director of ministries for children, youth, college students, families and visitations; and as a preacher and teacher.

Her chaplaincy experience includes psychiatry, oncology, neonatal, transplant (liver and kidney), and general hospital ministry. She served for three years as a CPE supervisor in the Spiritual Care Department at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and for two years as manager and CPE supervisor of the Spiritual Care Department at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital. At Cedars-Sinai she launched the first CPE program less than a year after her start date. She currently supervises between six and 12 CPE students per unit.
