Barbara Breger, MD
Barbara Breger, MD, is a board certified ophthalmologist in the Pediatric Department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Breger has conducted research on YAG laser. She has also conducted studies for various drugs used in ophthalmology.
In addition to being a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Breger is a member of the California Association of Ophthalmology, Contact Lens Association for Ophthalmologists, Women in Ophthalmology, the American Women's Medical Association, the California Medical Association, and the Los Angeles County Medical Association. Also, she is an emeritus member of the board of directors for the Los Angeles County Women's Medical Association.
Dr. Breger earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She performed a rotating internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. She also performed residencies in neurology (primarly neuron-ophthalmology), pathology and ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai.
Dr. Breger's volunteer work includes Vista Del Mar in Los Angeles, the Venice Family Clinic, the Foundation for the Junior Blind and the Kayne-ERAS Center.
