Heather Cahan, MD
Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine
Heather Cahan, MD is a pediatrician and neonatologist at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Cahan was an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at the University of Arizona, Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Cahan’s main clinical and research interests are newborn resuscitation and medical simulation. She is board certified in neonatology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and she is the recipient of many honors and awards including the 2007 Vernon and Virginia Furrow Award, Innovations in Medical Education Grant. Dr. Cahan has been invited to speak and present at numerous domestic and international conferences and seminars.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport sciences from the University of Arizona, Dr. Cahan received her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed a pediatric residency and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
