James Caplan, MD
James Caplan, MD, practices medicine with the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates. He is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine.
Dr. Caplan attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He received his bachelor's degree (summa cum laude) from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., where he was Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Caplan completed his internship, residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. From 1986 to 1990, he was clinical chief in the pulmonology division in the department of medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is a "B Reader" for the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and a fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians.
In 1985, Dr. Caplan became a founding member of the Medical Group of Beverly Hills, now known as Cedars-Sinai Medical Group.
