Adam Z. Kawalek, MD is a Hospitalist with the Inpatient Specialty Program (ISP) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Kawalek’s research interests include human papilloma virus, HIV and men's health. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals including Diseases of Colon and Rectum, Dermatologic Surgery, Clinics in Dermatology, and online at Medscape.com. A prolific speaker, Dr. Kawalek has lectured at conferences and seminars throughout the country. He is the recipient of many academic awards and honors and volunteers his free time at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center Sexual Health Clinic.
After graduating from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island with a double major in biology and history, Dr. Kawalek earned his medical degree with distinction in research from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed an internal medicine residency at New York University Medical Center in New York and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
