Asma Mahavash Moheet, MD
Neurocritical Care Intensivist
Asma Mahavash Moheet, MD is a Neurocritical Care Intensivist in the Department of Neurology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is board certified in neurology. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Dr. Moheet teaches students, residents and fellows how to translate their evidence-based medicine and basic science into clinical findings for the treatment of patients in the neurologic intensive care unit.
Dr. Moheet’s research interests include ventilator-associated pneumonia in neurologic critical care patients. Her research has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed journals including the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine and Neurocritical Care. She is the recipient of many honors and awards and has presented and lectured at national conferences and seminars. Dr. Moheet is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Medical Association and the Neurocritical Care Society.
After earning her bachelor’s of arts and medical degree in a six-year integrated program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Dr. Moheet completed an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She also completed a fellowship in neurovascular and neurocritical care at the University of California, San Francisco.
