Education Program Coordinator
Gail Millan MN, RN-BC is an Education Program Coordinator with the Geri and Richard Brawerman Nursing Institute. She serves as the Nurse Liaison for Community Health Education and Screening Programs.
Ms. Millan organizes the clinical services Cedars-Sinai nurses provide at numerous health education, screening and immunization events. She is responsible for recruiting, training and coordinating the nurses who staff the programs and for coordinating participant education and referral services, when needed.
She has been with Cedars-Sinai since 1985, but her connection with the medical center goes back even further. While in high school, she volunteered as a “candy striper” at what was then Cedars of Lebanon.
A registered nurse (RN-BC) who is specialty certified in Nursing Professional Development, Millan earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Duke University and her master's in nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has been honored with numerous awards, including the Dorskind Family Community Health Nursing Excellence Award and the Beverly Hills Community Health and Safety Award for her work as part of the Executive Committee of the Every 15 Minutes Program. She was chosen as a finalist for the 2011 Nurse.com NurseWeek Excellence Awards in California in the category of Mentoring. She currently serves as a member of the City of Beverly Hills Health and Safety Commission.
