Howard Liu, MD serves as the Clinical Chief of Dermatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is a board-certified Dermatologist with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group.

Dr. Liu's clinical focus is in delivering Dermatology care to the entire family, including medical and procedure care of both pediatric and adult patients. He also serves as Director of the Aesthetic Dermatology Program, offering comprehensive services for facial and body rejuvenation utilizing a combination of minimally-invasive soft tissue fillers, laser and light therapies, and outpatient cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Liu received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in Molecular Cell Biology with Highest Distinction Honors. He obtained his medical doctorate at the University of California, Davis, where he graduated top of his class. Dr. Liu completed his internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics where he was selected Chief Resident of the Department of Dermatology. Dr. Liu also completed a fellowship in Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Lymphomas at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics.

Dr. Liu has received several honors and awards, including selection into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa. He also is a recipient of the University of California Regent Scholarship, Chinese American Physicians Scholarship, Arnold Gurevitch Presentation Award in Dermatology, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptor Scholarship.

Dr. Liu is the author of several publications and book chapters on topics ranging from cutaneous oncology to Botox and cosmetic laser therapies. Dr. Liu frequently delivers presentations on his special interests in dermatology, including management of skin cancers, facial reconstruction, rejuvenation of the aging face and body, and cosmetic laser therapies.

Dr. Liu also holds a clinical faculty appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Dermatology at the University of California at Los Angeles. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Pacific Dermatological Association.
