Malcolm Margolin, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates. He has a specific interest in the therapy of menopause and perimenopause, irregular vaginal bleeding, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery of fibroids, and endoscopic surgery of the endometrial cavity.
Dr. Margolin earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his medical doctorate from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Los Angeles County General Hospital, University of Southern California Medical Center.
Throughout his career he has held numerous academic and professional appointments. Currently, Dr. Margolin serves as an Emeritus Clinical Professor for obstetrics and gynecology for the Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. At Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Margolin is a member of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Obstetrics & Gynecology Advisory Committee, and from 1998-2002, he served as the Clinical Chief in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Chairman of the Peer Review committee for Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Margolin is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as the Pacific Coast Obstetric and Gynecological Society. He is a member of many professional organizations including the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Margolin is a past president of the Los Angeles Obstetric and Gynecologic Society and The Obstetric and Gynecologic Assembly of Southern California. He has authored or co-authored over 25 research publications in numerous journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Journal of Reproductive Medicine.
