Maya Mathew, MD
Maya Mathew, MD is a Hospitalist with Cedars-Sinai’s Inpatient Specialty Program (ISP).
After earning both a bachelor’s of Arts degree in Spanish and a master’s of Science degree in Physiology from Georgetown University, Dr. Mathew went on to earn her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Ochsner Foundation Hospital and a residency in internal medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine.
Dr. Mathew received the NIH Kirschtein National Research Service Award and performed research at the Louisiana State University Department of Physiology, examining the combined effects of alcohol and HIV infection on cardiovascular function in rhesus macaques.
Dr. Mathew is board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.
