Resa L. Oshiro, MD

Resa L. Oshiro, MD, is a board-certified specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Cedar-Sinai’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is board certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR).
Dr. Oshiro’s clinical interests include non-surgical evaluation and treatment of disorders of the spine and musculoskeletal system as well as electro-diagnostic studies.
In addition to her membership in AAPMR, Dr. Oshiro is a member of the North American Spine Society.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in human biology at Pitzer College in Claremont, California, Dr. Oshiro went on to earn her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She performed an internship in internal medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She further specialized by doing a multidisciplinary spine fellowship. While studying at New York Medical College, she earned the Humanism in Medicine award from the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey. She was been awarded “Best Consultant” for her contributions by residents she taught at UCLA.
