Sam Najmabadi, MD is an attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Najmabadi also is the Medical Director and Laboratory Director at the Center for Reproductive Health and Gynecology.
Dr. Najmabadi's main clinical and research interests involve oocyte and embryo development, abnormalities in reproductive endocrinology, investigation into causes of unexplained infertility and failed in vitro fertilization cycles, the diagnosis and treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), premature ovarian failure and is evaluating a faster, simpler and less expensive way to do embryo/oocyte cryopreservation for cancer and infertility patients.
Dr. Najmabadi's peer-reviewed articles have been published in Fertility and Sterilityand Obstetrics and Gynecology journal. He also contributed a chapter to Infertility, Contraception and Reproductive Endocrinology, Fourth Edition.
Dr. Najmabadi received his medical degree from the University of Southern California and completed his residency and fellowship at Women's and Children's Hospital LAC+USC. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is a current member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologists, American Board of Bioanalysts, and College of American Pathologists. He is also a board member of Fertility Today.
