After attending Saint Petersburg State Medical University in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Dr. Linhares earned a bachelor’s in biology at Lenoir Rhyne in Hickory, North Carolina, magna cum laude. She earned her medical degree, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. She went on to perform her internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Other fellowships performed include the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine and the National Institutes of Health fellowships at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute for BMT Research and Continued Research.
