Michael Tahery, MD

Michael Tahery, MD is Director of the Center for Women’s Continence and Pelvic Health and serves on the teaching service as a volunteer faculty member at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Tahery is also an Assistant Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
As a urogynecologist and pelvic reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Tahery’s main clinical interests are minimally invasive surgery, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and vaginal prolapse.
Dr. Tahery has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications including the Journal of Laparoendoscopic & Advanced Surgical Techniques. He is a member of American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, American Uro-Gynecology Society, and American Urology Association.
Dr. Tahery earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and his medical degree from the College of Medicine at UCI. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the New York University School of Medicine and his Advanced Pelvic Surgery and Urogynecology, and Reconstructive Vaginal Surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic.
He was certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1998 and recertified in 2008.
