Mourad Tighiouart, PhD is Associate Director of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Research Center at Cedars-Sinai. Prior to joining the faculty at Cedars-Sinai, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics and the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource of the Winship Cancer Institute, Emory University.
Dr. Tighiouart's areas of research expertise include dose-toxicity Bayesian models in cancer phase I clinical trials, Bayesian multilevel modeling, and nonparametric Bayesian survival analysis. He has extensive experience doing collaborative research with basic scientists and clinicians in oncology. In particular, he designed dozens of phase I and II cancer clinical trials using frequentist and Bayesian adaptive designs.
Dr. Tighiouart earned his master's degrees with concentrations in mathematics from the University of Central Florida in Orlando in 1991) and in statistics from Florida State University in Tallahassee in 1997. Dr. Tighiouart earned his doctorate in statistics from Florida State University in 1998.
