Willis Wagner, MD
Clinical Chief, Division of Vascular Surgery; Clinical Director, Vascular Laboratory
Willis H. Wagner, MD, FACS is Clinical Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Clinical Director of the Vascular Laboratory at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Wagner is also a clinical associate professor of surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
A board-certified surgeon with additional qualifications in general vascular surgery, Dr. Wagner has been involved in a number of grant-funded investigative studies. His research interests include vein grafts, the effectiveness of certain drugs on high-risk patients undergoing vascular surgery and the treatment of venous ulcers.
Dr. Wagner has written numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters on vascular surgical issues involving strokes, aneurysms, heart surgery, the effect of carotid artery disease on eye function and the impact of diabetes on vascular surgery. He has given more than 40 presentations on vascular surgery throughout Southern California, the United States and Canada.
Dr. Wagner is a member of several professional societies, including the American Association for Vascular Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, Society of Vascular Technology, Western Vascular Society and the American, California and Los Angeles County Medical Associations. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and he serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Southern California Vascular Surgery Society.
Dr. Wagner earned his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of North Carolina.
