Youth Employment and Development

Each year, 45 area high school juniors and seniors take their first steps toward a fulfilling career in healthcare by participating in our Youth Employment & Development (YED) program.

While they gain high school credits, invaluable mentoring and hospital work experience, students also earn wages that can help them pay for college.

Since the program began in 1993, more than 400 students have participated in this job training program. Nearly all of our students go on to college, many of them the first in their families to do so.
