The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is offering a one year clinical fellowship in Endovascular Thoracic Surgery. The Cedars-Sinai Heart institute has the largest aortic program in West Coast, and the largest TAVR and Mitraclip volume in the US. The clinical fellow will be trained in advanced/Hybrid TEVAR, EVAR, TAVR and Mitraclip implantation. Access to investigational devices is offered through a series of clinical trials and investigator-sponsored IDEs with Dr. Khoynezhad. Active involvement with advanced cardiac operations, including complex valve, aortic root/arch reconstruction's, thoracoscopic off-pump complete Maze operations, and robotic mitral valve repair is offered. Clinical research resulting in presentation/publication in major interventional meetings/journal is strongly encouraged.
We are seeking future stars in the field, seeking to become hybrid-trained Cardiovascular Surgeon with academic aspirations. Candidates must be either Board eligible or certified from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery; and be eligible for licensure in the State of California.
